This portfolio showcase highlights the editorial layout, graphic synthesis, and cover design execution for the Dan Carman Press Release Brochure. The objective was to design a highly atmospheric, sci-fi infused media package that bridges literary entertainment with structured journalism, instantly communicating narrative depth, digital publishing milestones, and cinematic science fiction themes to media outlets and literary critics.

Design & Requirements Breakdown

Visual Symbolism – The cover layout features an immersive, cosmic backdrop layered with swirling celestial nebulae and deep space dust clouds. This interstellar canvas centers on overlapping circular orbs containing sketched character illustrations and a holographic portrait, visually reinforcing the multi layered character arcs, high concept world building, and technological futurism found within the science fiction book launch.

Typographic Architecture – A stylised, mechanical sans-serif display typeface blocks out "PRESS RELEASE" across the top banner with high visual weight. This is perfectly balanced by high contrast white text calling out the official launch date, a dramatic quote snippet, and a collection of stylised sci-fi title logos aligned along the lower margins to establish clear brand ownership and cross media franchise potential.

Premium Presentation – The brochure is presented in a premium 3D stacked print mock up perspective against a smooth purple gradient background. This dynamic staging emphasises the document's crisp edge trims, substantial page volume, and exact colour reproduction, showcasing a highly polished, professional media kit optimised for literary press events, newsroom desks, and digital review portfolios.

Strategic Colour Choice – Deep midnight black, cosmic blues, and rich purple gradients establish a dark, mysterious, and cinematic baseline, heavily contrasted by electric pink overlays, bright cyan text accents, and crisp white typography to evoke hyper advanced technology, space opera intrigue, and a distinct digital age identity.
